Ground Floor Gallery | Feb 20-Mar 23: (Preview: Feb 20, 6-8pm) New Paintings - Phillip Shiels. New large-scale abstract paintings and smaller works from the last two
years. Originally from Dublin, 
educated and formerly based in Denmark, Shiels's works are strongly influenced by Scandinavian painting traditions, combining colouristic elements with references to European expressionist painting. His work includes painting, printmaking, and drawing over the last 40 years. He depicts landscapes from a literary
starting point, a fragment from a film, or a memory of a place rather than an actual landscape as a direct reproduction

 

First Floor Gallery | Feb 20-Mar 23: (Preview: Feb 20, 6-8pm) Stories Within - Olwyn Colgan. Otherworldly and representational elements in paintings influenced
by imagination and emotional observations, Painting, collage,
and print. Recent works find the interconnection between astrology and the notion that the planet
positions, motions, and properties may affect people and events on earth. The work references the
88 constellation maps, published by Eugène Delporte (1882-1955), Belgian astronomer
